Definitions

  1. Oakdale Bees has the right to change this policy from time to time and it will be published on this website once updated.

  2. Please refer to the terminology below as referenced in these Terms & Conditions:

    • “Agreement” refers to these Terms and Conditions.

    • “Force Majeure” refers to an event beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to an act of God, Royal Mail postal strike action, natural disaster, site service outages beyond our control, or acts of terrorism.

    • “Products” refers to all products and/or services offered by Oakdale Bees, including but not limited to Beeswax Wraps, honey, candles, experience days, wax products or related services.

    • “Us”, “we”, “our” refers to Oakdale Bees, while “you”, “your” refers to you as the customer.

Products and Purchases

  1. When ordering our Products online you must provide all necessary information required to process your order. You warrant that all information provided is accurate, complete, your own personal information, and that you are at least eighteen (18) years old with legal use of the payment method applied.

  2. Images of the Products on our site are for illustrative purposes only; actual products may vary slightly.

  3. It is your responsibility to ensure all information you provide is accurate and up to date. We are not liable for lost shipments due to inaccuracies in the information you provided.

Shipments and Deliveries

  1. Products will be dispatched within 5 working days of the order being placed, excluding bank or public holidays.

  2. All Products are delivered using Royal Mail, which may take between 2–3 working days from the date of order, although delivery may take longer due to reasons outside our control.

  3. Dispatch and delivery dates may vary according to availability. These dates are estimates only and may be delayed for reasons including Force Majeure. All risk in the Products transfers to you upon dispatch; title passes to you upon delivery.

  4. Late delivery does not entitle you to cancel the order. Lost or undelivered parcels must be reported within 7 days of the expected delivery date.

  5. Under the Consumer Protection Distance Selling Regulations (2000), UK customers may cancel their order within seven working days after delivery. Refunds will be issued within 30 days. You are responsible for return postage costs and must notify Oakdale Bees in writing, ideally with an explanation for our learning.

Intellectual Property

  1. All trademarks, logos, graphics, icons, trade names, domain names, photographs, animations, videos and text are considered Intellectual Property. Permission from Oakdale Bees is required to use or reproduce any of this material.

Personal Data

  1. Oakdale Bees is GDPR compliant and respects the protection of privacy and Personal Information. Personal information is collected through your use of this website and our services, and is managed according to our Privacy Policy. Information is stored on a secure, password-protected server and is not held at our registered office.

  2. All Personal Information is treated as confidential, except where disclosure is required under the conditions outlined in these Terms.

  3. Oakdale Bees customer information is handled in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

  4. Personal Information includes: name, email address, billing address, delivery address, telephone number, product selections and password.

  5. With consent, we may collect third-party provider data including advertisements viewed, IP address, browser type, location, pages viewed and clicked advertisements, even if no purchase is made.

  6. Oakdale Bees uses cookies to monitor and improve our website. We require your consent to place cookies on your device; you may refuse by adjusting your browser settings.

Warranties

  1. No warranty is given that the information, products or services offered on the website are fit for a particular purpose. All advice and guidance is provided for reference only.

  2. Our products are handmade and may have natural variations or “wonky edges.” If you are not happy with your product, we will refund or replace it without hesitation.

  3. You agree to indemnify us against issues arising from your general use or misuse of the Products or website.

Oakdale Bees is managed by the owner and founder, Elisabeth Barton-Grew, operating as a sole trader from Deepdale, Yorkshire LS23 6EW.
